As a partner company, do you believe that projects like this help young people develop skills that will be useful in their future professional lives?
A.S.: Absolutely. I believe ClerMUN is extremely valuable because it allows young people to begin understanding geopolitical issues and global balances of power, which are closely tied to sustainable development. The intersection between geopolitics and sustainability is a critical area in which the younger generation must gain expertise. It’s incredibly useful.

What connection do you see between Michelin Group’s sustainable development strategy and the theme of this ClerMUN?
A.S.: The connection is very strong. Climate change and social justice are at the heart of Michelin Group’s sustainability strategy. The Group is working to find the best possible balance between three dimensions: People, Profit & Planet — in other words, human, economic, and environmental challenges. Climate change is one of the Group’s major concerns. We aim to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.
We are deeply committed to these issues and aware of the profound transformation they require within companies. At the same time, social and environmental questions must be addressed systemically. We cannot tackle climate issues without considering how people will accept these changes. We must support them and foster social cohesion so that these transformations are acceptable for all and we can move forward together.
Michelin strives to reduce climate pressure while strengthening the social foundation, ensuring that everyone has the well-being needed to fully engage with ecological challenges.

A message for young people from Michelin as a partner company?
A.S.: A message of hope — that we do have the power to act on such critical challenges. Change is possible, even at our scale — whether as individuals or as the Michelin company. I really appreciated the message from your Secretary-General that “we are the builders of tomorrow.” That’s very true. But we must also be careful not to place too much weight or responsibility on the younger generation alone. Building the future requires collective, intergenerational action.​
